ROI’s 11 county region has an enormous cross-sector need for cybersecurity and cyberinfrastructure professionals. To help fill this gap, ROI has partnered with Indiana University’s School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering (SICE) and Carnegie Mellon University to help train educators and their student teams and to introduce them to the challenges seen in the PICO Capture the Flag (picoCTF) competition.
Our kick off event, Cybersecurity Spring Training Camp, was held Saturday, May 12 on the IU campus in Bloomington, Indiana. It’s not too late to get involved! For more information on upcoming cybersecurity challenges in our region and across the country contact us.
Carnegie Mellon University’s picoCTF competition is an annual cybersecurity challenge held for two weeks each fall. ROI and SICE can help mentors and their teams understand the types of problem-solving challenges used in the competition and build their competence and confidence going into the picoCTF challenge this fall.
