Currently open to students from Washington, Bloomfield, and Loogootee High Schools.
What the Academy Offers
- Paid Work Experience – Get real-world experience working with leading microelectronics employers.
- Free College Courses – Earn dual credits through Ivy Tech Community College in electrical engineering and design technology.
- Industry-Recognized Credentials – Build a competitive resume with career-ready certifications and skill sets.
- High-Tech Learning Environment – Study at the Microelectronics Training Hub located in WestGate@Crane Tech Park, adjacent to NSWC Crane.
- Career Exploration & Mentorship – Learn from engineers and technicians in the field while discovering pathways into defense, tech, and advanced manufacturing careers.

Students follow a pathway aligned with the STEM Electronics & Computer Technology Program, including:
- DESN 101: Intro to Design Technology
- DESN 113: 2D Computer-Aided Design
- EECT 101: Intro to Electronics and Projects
- EECT 112: Digital Fundamentals
- EECT 151: Introduction to Microsystems
- EECT 152: Microsystems Characterization
- EECT 153: Microsystems and Electronics
- EECT 154: MEMS and Microelectronics Packaging
- EECT 155: Introduction to Vacuum Technology

The Academy prepares your student for in-demand careers with no cost to your family. With support from industry partners, students receive paid training, mentorship, and stackable credentials that count toward the new Indiana high school diploma.

Currently limited to students enrolled at:
- Washington High School
- Bloomfield High School
- Loogootee High School
