ROI is pleased to announce that the principal nomination window for Cohort 4 of the STEM Fellowship is now open! Participating STEM Fellows will be expected to serve as district leaders and to grow as STEM experts throughout the fellowship year. Equipped with these experiences, Fellows will be asked to: provide support to colleagues, model STEM lessons, participate in their own learning through provided professional development, design and complete a project-based learning unit, and actively contribute to the Uplands regional STEM teacher network. As in previous years, Fellows are expected to catalyze meaningful and innovative building-wide change in STEM education.
STEM Fellows receive a $2,500.00 stipend upon completion of their Fellowship year as well as relevant supporting STEM resources and materials. Fellows are asked to attend all STEM Fellows professional development events, to serve as a STEMbassador to peers in the second year, and be a catalyst for STEM growth within their school. Substitute teacher costs will also be covered by ROI.
