ROI Housing Series: Multi-Family and Single Family Residential Pro Forma Workshops

These workshops will give you an overview of financial modeling for multi-family and single-family residential projects.  Learning objectives include:

  • Basic terminology and concepts of a pro forma
  • Uses and sources of funds
  • Financial concepts such as case flow and amortization
  • How valuation and investment (lending) decisions are made

Prior to the workshop, registered attendees will receive a list of terms and definitions, excel-based models, and other pertinent information.

Multi-Family Residential Pro Forma Workshop

January 27: 10 a.m. – Noon, presented by Chris Cockerham, Commercial Broker Manager

Chris Cockerham has over 27-years of experience in Corporate Real Estate, Commercial Property Management, Commercial Leasing, Commercial and Multifamily Investment Sales and Residential Sales. Chris currently holds a Real Estate Broker’s License in Indiana and California. He is a graduate of Indiana University, Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Certified Property Management Program (CPM) and Graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI). Chris also is a Professor at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business teaching Real Estate classes. Chris is an avid and important member of the community participating with counsels and boards such as the Community Foundation of Bloomington/Monroe County, the City of Bloomington Historic Preservation Commission, past Commissioner of the Monroe County Affordable Housing Commission, and served on the Foundation Board for the Goodwill of Central Indiana Board of Directors. Chris also participates in Real Estate related organizations such as serving as a director on the Indiana Association of Realtors and the Executive Committee for the Indiana Commercial Board of Realtors.

Single-Family Residential Pro Forma Workshop

February 3: 9 – 11 a.m., presented by Edward S. Chandler, Loan Originator

Edward S. Chandler brings more than 35 years of commercial real estate finance experience to the Indianapolis market. He has served in various lending capacities with insurance companies, banks and national mortgage companies. Previously, he worked at One America, the Travelers, Lincoln National Life, American Fletcher Mortgage Corporation, Bank One of Indiana, Banc One Mortgage Corporation, and L.J. Melody and Co. He has relationships with national lenders including insurance companies, banks, and CMBS lenders. During his tenure, Edward has closed well more than $1.5 billion in commercial real estate financings, involving office, retail, multi-family, industrial, land development and special purpose real estate.
