The Uplands Region: A model for other School-based Enterprise networks

Several months ago, ROI brought together seven school-based enterprises (SBEs) from across the Indiana Uplands region, allowing students, advisers and administrators to share best practices while also connecting with area business owners. What came from the first “Uplands Made Network” convening was a blueprint, of sorts, for how to drive successful partnerships between schools and local companies through student-run businesses.

Indiana Uplands READI funding to begin with two competitive funding programs to advance regional quality of place and housing

Regional Opportunity Initiatives (ROI) and Radius Indiana, in collaboration with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) and the Indiana Uplands READI Steering Committee, is launching two competitive funding programs made possible through the region’s Indiana Regional Economic Acceleration and Development Initiative (READI) award.

New science and technology foundation positioned to support catalytic growth opportunities at WestGate@Crane Technology Park

The Uplands Science and Technology Foundation (USTF) is a nonprofit research foundation dedicated to enhancing the vitality of WestGate@Crane Technology Park. The USTF will lead the physical development of WestGate as an innovation district and grow the park’s capabilities in emerging technology areas such as microelectronics, artificial intelligence, and hypersonics.
